STYLE IN YOUR MIDLIFE

The majority of my clients are in their 40s and 50s, and this time in midlife can be a really stressful and overwhelming period regarding self-esteem, body shape, career and family. I see it time and time again, where once extremely confident women who currently have or previously had, very successful careers and family lives juggling a multitude of spinning plates, have lost sight of the person they once were.

Life is busy and we often put ourselves at the bottom of the ‘To Do’ list, and for many, what to wear can be the last thing on their minds. One of the most common complaints is not knowing how to dress the body shape they now have. How do you dress bigger boobs and a tummy that’s appeared and a waist that’s disappeared? However, once you know (courtesy of moi) and you realise all of the things that you can wear and what makes you look and feel fabulous again, you won’t look back. Midlife does not mean the end of being stylish and current, but I like to think that it’s the beginning of a new chapter in your style story. Maybe you are lucky enough to have already nailed a ‘uniform’ that you’re happy with, but if not, it can be a time to reassess your style and who you want to be. Start to shop with thought and consideration, invest in timeless pieces that you’ll love and cherish, and see this time as a fantastic opportunity as you move into your next style chapter. What are you waiting for?
